Wedding journey: blog style

We booked the venue! This is a view from the entrance. It is a smaller venue... meaning the guest list has to and will be small. Which is PERFECT.

It is a little saddening that this lovely art wont be there when we tie the knot. The art changes monthly.

Welcome to the swanky bar area! Too bad Ricky and I don't drink. Sorry guests no boos for you. But we will have our food beyond the glass doors.

Food and drink will go here.

This is Ricky the second love of my life. Honestly though, the more and more this man talked, the more I loved him! He is our assistant provided by the venue to help us out through the duration of our planning. He was SO helpful and knowledgeable, it was a refreshing     change from the other venue that was a mess. Look at his shirt. Look at his face. Ugh I love him!

I would love to own one of  these portraits.
We are so beyond excited for our wedding now. It is so "us". We are not one of those couples that has to have 1,000 guests and lavished decor. Barf. We love that the space is quaint and so modern. The only bad thin, is, if one of the guests breaks any of the art, they have to pay for it. Be careful people!

Pumpkin patch

We found R2-D2 on our way to the pumpkin patch.

Yay!

This was our first time carving pumpkins together!

He is so cute. I wonder what that picture was of?

Couple shirts.

MrSPiCEY and I both got $9.00 pumpkins.

Can you carve these?

Too bright.

I picked out this pumpkin for him ^,^

I totally am too weak to carry this pumpkin.

So... it has been a long time since I have carved a pumpkin. I did not remember all this stingy stuff. Ew.

MrSPiCEY made a masterpiece! I hope they don't get smashed.

Wedding journey: Blog style

Lip gloss peace sign? It is getting cold, so I wore this hunter green chunky sweater, jeans and my black faux suede wedges. You probably can't tell, but at this point I am pretty peeved. More on that  later.

So there was a bridal expo going on in my town. It was small but mostly informative. I have five bridesmaids and suggested we go to the expo together. It was really supposed to be a getting-to-know-you thing for them, and a chance for us to all get together and hang out. I was really looking forward to getting all the girls in one place and get pumped up for my wedding, that seems to keep getting pushed back and put on the back burner. Now here is the thing, do I talk candidly about it here and sound like a bridezilla, or not say anything until I get really fed up and turn into a bridzilla?   I realize that my bridesmaids are not my slaves and have their own lives, but I feel like I am being ignored and flaked out on.

I am thankful some of them showed up period! Three out of five is pretty good right? I don't know if any  of them are too crazy on the idea of me saying their names on here... so.. names TBA.

My beautiful cousin! She lives in the bay area, but was in LA for the weekend and made a stop for me. I was really relieved she showed up. We grew up together and she just gets me through and through.

Thank God everyone got along so well! All of my bridesmaids (including the two that didn't come) have really different personalities.

Us during the fashion show. They were giving out prizes. We didn't win.

Classic bathroom picture time.

Lunch after was the best part. By this time I was feeling much better and really thankful.

"Are you still taking pictures of me?" Yup!

Haha! That look.

I did ask them all for permission to post these pictures :}

MrSPiCEY came to join us for lunch. By this point I was feeling super loved.

In the end, what it really comes down to, is being thankful for what you have. I  truly am. I also realize it would be best for MrSPiCEY and I to take care of all the details.

Stay Golden^^
